VETERAN TRANSIT SALES LEADERS TO OVERSEE ALL NJ TRANSIT INDOOR AND OUTDOOR AD SPACE
NEW YORK, N.Y. (5/18/2004) -- Titan Outdoor LLC, a leading provider of outdoor advertising, was awarded the exclusive right to develop and maintain all advertising space for NJ Transit through 2009, as announced last week by the NJ Transit Board of Directors. NJ Transit is the largest statewide public transportation system in the United States with 2,100 buses (interior bus cards, exterior tail and side displays), 845 Rail Cars (4,200 interior frames), 106 Light rail vehicles (2,300 interior frames), 2,200 rail station posters and 30 bridges with advertising. Titan Outdoor is taking over the NJ Transit contract from incumbent Viacom Outdoor.
The NJ Transit award represents Titan Outdoor's Chairman William M. Apfelbaum's and Chief Executive Officer Donald R. Allman's return to the transit advertising business. Both came from Transportation Displays Incorporated, where for over a decade Apfelbaum and Allman developed and managed the top transit advertising business in the world, representing the NJ Transit contract as well as over 100 Transit Authorities in the United States and Europe before starting Titan Outdoor.
