TITAN WORLDWIDE AWARDED CIE CONTRACT IN IRELAND
December 28, 2005 - Titan Worldwide has been awarded a five (5) year license for all of the transit and rail advertising in the Republic of Ireland. The contract with CIE ("Coras Iompair Eireann"), previously held by Viacom Outdoor, commences January 2, 2006 and includes advertising on the exterior and interior of over 1,150 buses, the DART commuter rail system, as well as over 11,000 road and rail side billboards throughout Ireland. The award marks the return of William M. Apfelbaum and Donald R. Allman, Titan Worldwide's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer respectively, to the transit advertising business in Ireland where they originally contracted with CIE in 1995 as Transportation Displays, Inc. ("TDI").
"The award of the CIE contract represents Titan Worldwide's first venture in the European market" said Donald Allman, "we are excited to bring our unique T ransit sales focus to the business which will benefit our advertisers and generate significant non-farebox revenue for CIE." Titan's efforts in Ireland will be led by transit advertising veterans James Barry who will assume the role of Managing Director, and Stephen Dunn, Sales Director. Both Barry and Dunn were part of the original TDI Team and worked closely with Mr. Apfelbaum and Mr. Allman .
